Overview

Guangzhou (Canton), capital of Guangdong Province, known as the 'City of Flowers' and 'Goat City', is China's important trade gateway and a UNESCO 'City of Gastronomy'. The Canton Tower (Little Waist) is the modern landmark, while Chen Clan Academy, Shamian and Xiguan Houses preserve the essence of Lingnan culture. • Cantonese Opera (2009) — Most representative opera genre of Lingnan region, known for unique singing style and performance. Hung Sin-nui was the grand master.
• Guangcai Porcelain Craft (2008) — Unique Guangzhou polychrome porcelain craft, known for brilliant colors and fine patterns. Important traditional Guangdong handicraft.
