Overview

Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture at the southern tip of Yunnan is China's only tropical rainforest nature reserve. With just dry and rainy seasons, it's lush green year-round with roaming peacocks. The April Water Splashing Festival is the Dai people's grandest celebration, attracting global visitors.
